Privacy Policy

Betterbase Studio, LLC ("Betterbase Studio," "we," "us," or "our") publishes the Font Maker application. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Font Maker on an Android device.

1. Information you provide

Depending on the features you choose to use, Font Maker may process:

• Font content. Character drawings and their PNG representations, font names, alphabet selections, and related settings that you submit to create a font. The service returns generated font files and download or profile links.
• Support content. Messages you send through the in-app Feedback feature and any information you voluntarily include in those messages.
• Purchase information. When paid features are offered, Google Play processes payment details. We may receive limited purchase, subscription, and entitlement information needed to provide or restore premium access. We do not receive your full payment-card number.

2. Information processed automatically

The app and the services it uses may process:

• A pseudonymous numeric user identifier generated by our backend when it is needed for features such as support or font generation. Font Maker does not require a public profile or traditional sign-in account.
• App version, Android version, premium status, selected environment, request type and outcome, and general feature-interaction events.
• Device and app metadata, installation identifiers, session information, diagnostic data, crash stack traces, relevant app state, and non-fatal errors.
• Internet Protocol address and approximate location inferred from it by network, analytics, or infrastructure providers. Font Maker does not request precise location permission.

3. Information stored on your device

Font Maker stores created fonts, character drawings, font files, design history, preferences, language and theme choices, premium state, keyboard font selection, and widget configuration locally using Android storage technologies. App backup and device-transfer backup are disabled for this data. Local information generally remains until you delete it in the app, clear app data, or uninstall the app.

4. Font generation

Creating a downloadable font requires the app to send the character images you selected, a generated font identifier, app and Android version information, and premium status to our backend over HTTPS. The backend processes this content to create the requested font and returns the font data and related links. Locally saved character drawings that you have not submitted for generation remain on your device.

5. Custom keyboard and clipboard

Text entered inside the Font Maker custom keyboard is held in memory on your device so the app can render it with your selected font. Font Maker does not send that typed text to our backend or analytics services. When you choose Copy, the keyboard creates a temporary PNG image in the app cache and places a content link on the Android clipboard or sends the image to a compatible input field. Clipboard contents and the receiving app are controlled by Android and the app into which you paste or send the image.

6. Analytics, diagnostics, and configuration services

Font Maker currently uses the following service providers:

• Firebase Analytics for aggregated app usage and interaction measurement.
• Firebase Crashlytics for crash reports, stack traces, device and app state, installation identifiers, and developer-defined diagnostic context.
• Firebase Remote Config to deliver configuration values and feature settings to app installations.
• Mixpanel for product analytics, including feature events and pseudonymous user or installation properties.

7. Advertising identifiers

Font Maker does not display third-party advertising. The app explicitly removes advertising-ID and ad-services attribution permissions and disables advertising personalization signals in its analytics configuration. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

8. How we use information

We use information to:

• provide, maintain, secure, and improve Font Maker;
• generate, store, download, and share fonts at your request;
• provide customer support and respond to feedback;
• verify premium access and restore eligible purchases;
• measure feature performance and understand app reliability;
• detect, investigate, and prevent errors, abuse, or security incidents; and
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

9. How information is disclosed

We may disclose information:

• to hosting, backend, analytics, diagnostics, configuration, and customer-support providers that process it for us;
• to Google Play for app distribution, purchases, and subscription management;
• when you direct the app to share a font, image, or link with another app;
• when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or security; or
• as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.

10. Retention and deletion

We retain server-side font-generation records, generated assets, support messages, pseudonymous identifiers, and associated technical records only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, to maintain the service, or to meet legal, security, and dispute-resolution obligations. Analytics and diagnostic providers retain information according to our settings and their documented retention practices. Firebase states that Crashlytics crash reports and associated identifiers are generally retained for 90 days before removal begins.

You can delete local fonts and history through the app where those controls are available, or remove local app data through Android settings. To request access, correction, or deletion of server-side information, email support@fontmakerapps.com. We may ask for reasonable information to locate the relevant pseudonymous record and verify the request. We will respond as required by applicable law and may retain limited information when legally permitted or required.

11. Security

Font Maker requires HTTPS for backend requests and font downloads, disables cleartext network traffic, and does not include local app data in Android backups. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

12. Children

Font Maker is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age required by applicable law to consent to data processing. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

13. International processing

We and our service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers.

14. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of certain information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a privacy regulator. To exercise a right, contact us using the address below. We will not discriminate against you for making a privacy request.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Font Maker, its service providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy at this URL and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app where appropriate.
