Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a legal agreement between you and Betterbase Studio, LLC ("Betterbase Studio," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the Font Maker application and related services.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, purchasing through, or using Font Maker, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Font Maker. If you use Font Maker on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of entering into this agreement. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms and supervise your use of Font Maker.

3. License to use Font Maker

Subject to these Terms, Betterbase Studio grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to install and use Font Maker on compatible Android devices that you own or control, solely for lawful personal or internal business purposes.

You may not:

• copy, sell, rent, sublicense, distribute, or commercially exploit the app itself;
• reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, bypass, or attempt to extract source code, except where applicable law expressly permits it;
• circumvent premium access controls, usage limits, or security mechanisms;
• interfere with the app, backend, or another user's access; or
• use Font Maker in a way that violates law or another person's rights.

4. Your handwriting, fonts, and other content

As between you and Betterbase Studio, you retain the rights you hold in your handwriting, character drawings, font names, messages, and other content you create or submit through Font Maker ("User Content"). You are responsible for User Content and must have all permissions necessary to create, upload, generate, export, install, share, or otherwise use it.

You grant Betterbase Studio and its service providers a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, transmit, reproduce, transform, and process User Content only as reasonably necessary to provide requested features, including font generation, downloads, sharing, support, security, and service maintenance. This license ends when the relevant content is deleted from our systems, subject to reasonable backup, security, legal, and technical retention.

5. Responsible content and use

You must not use Font Maker to create, upload, or share content that:

• infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
• is unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, harassing, or malicious;
• contains malware or is intended to compromise a device or service;
• impersonates another person or misrepresents its source; or
• uses another person's handwriting or protected typeface without authorization.

We may restrict or remove access to content or features when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users, or enforce these Terms.

6. Font generation, keyboard, widgets, and sharing

Some font-generation features require an Internet connection and send selected character images to our backend for processing. Generated fonts may not reproduce every character or render identically in every application, device, language, or operating-system version.

The custom keyboard renders text as an image using fonts stored by Font Maker. You control when an image is copied to the clipboard or sent to another app. Other apps and Android control whether they accept, retain, or further process shared content. Widgets depend on Android launcher support and may behave differently across devices.

7. Free and premium features

Font Maker may offer free features, auto-renewing subscriptions, and one-time premium purchases. The available plans, billing period, price, currency, trial or introductory terms, and included features are shown before you confirm a purchase. Features and limits may vary by plan, region, app version, or promotional offer.

8. Google Play purchases and subscriptions

• Purchases are processed by Google Play and are also subject to the terms and payment policies associated with your Google Play account.
• Auto-renewing subscriptions continue and are charged through Google Play unless canceled before renewal. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Google Play subscriptions settings. Deleting Font Maker does not cancel a subscription.
• A subscription remains available through the end of the paid billing period after cancellation unless Google Play states otherwise.
• Refund requests are handled according to Google Play policies and applicable law. We cannot issue or guarantee refunds that Google Play controls.
• Restore Purchases attempts to verify eligible purchases associated with the applicable store account. Restoration can require an Internet connection.

9. Lifetime purchases

If a one-time "Lifetime" purchase is offered, it grants access to the premium features identified at purchase for the supported lifetime of Font Maker under your applicable store account. "Lifetime" does not mean your natural lifetime and does not guarantee that every feature, device, platform, or online service will be available forever. We may modify or discontinue features for legal, security, technical, or business reasons, subject to applicable consumer law.

10. Updates and compatibility

We may update Font Maker to add, change, or remove features; fix errors; improve security; or maintain compatibility. Continued use may require installing an update. We do not promise support for every device, Android version, third-party app, font format variation, keyboard implementation, or launcher.

11. Third-party services

Font Maker relies on services such as Google Play, Firebase, Mixpanel, hosting and backend providers, and apps you choose for sharing. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Betterbase Studio is not responsible for third-party services or content outside our control.

12. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes how information is handled when you use Font Maker and is incorporated into these Terms.

13. Ownership

Font Maker, including its software, design, branding, documentation, and all related intellectual-property rights other than User Content, belongs to Betterbase Studio or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership or grant rights to use our trademarks, logos, or branding except as necessary to use the app normally.

14. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Font Maker at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the app or related online services if you materially violate these Terms, create a security or legal risk, misuse the service, or if continued service is no longer reasonably practicable. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, and liability limitations, will survive.

15. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FONT MAKER IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." BETTERBASE STUDIO DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND QUIET ENJOYMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR COMPATIBLE WITH EVERY DEVICE OR THIRD-PARTY APP, OR THAT GENERATED FONTS WILL MEET EVERY PROFESSIONAL, TECHNICAL, OR COMMERCIAL REQUIREMENT.

16. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BETTERBASE STUDIO AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES ARISING FROM FONT MAKER.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF FONT MAKER WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR FONT MAKER DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts located in Delaware will have jurisdiction over disputes that are not required to be resolved elsewhere by applicable law. This section does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections or rights available in your country or region.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to Font Maker, our services, or legal requirements. We will post the revised Terms at this URL and update the effective date. If a material change requires additional notice or consent, we will provide it as required by law. Continued use after the revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

19. General terms

If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them in connection with a reorganization, merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Betterbase Studio regarding Font Maker.
